It’s been a busy couple of months. Have just returned from the
North having played the very successful Freedom festival in Hull. Thank you to
everyone who made the show so enjoyable. August also saw us play several shows
in London, Leeds culminating in the North Yorkshire Festival of Galtres. Ten
have been writing and recording for the planned new album, which is starting to
come together. I have also been recording with fellow TOUT members Nick Downes
and Neil Cain. We will be releasing our first record via Trestle Records; a new
label established by four London based musician/artists and featuring a
selection of truly talented artists.
“Trestle records is a record label dedicated to putting out new
instrumental music started by four friends in East London during 2011. Ranging
from electronic to classical, pop to musique concrete supporting and
distributing all manner of contemporary instrumental music is its principle”. Click here
TOUT - London based guitar trio Nick Downes, Jonny Fryer and
Neil Cain craft country tinged melodic guitar instrumentals alongside scattered
and fragmentary musings blending acoustic and electric guitar; full of the
outdoors.
I am also excited to announce the re-release of several solo
albums through Trestle Records, with re-designed artwork by Ross Downes. More
details to follow regarding this, but we’re hoping for an album release this
year on CD Digi-pak. More details to follow.
It’s a pleasure to announce the first DOOR show with Bryan
Lippin at the Brudenell Social Club; Leeds supporting the lovely Portland based
Grouper on the 08 October 2011. Tickets are on sale here.
